In a thrilling display of cricketing prowess, the Wise Owl School 1st Team cricket team clinched a resounding victory at the St George’s Smashing T20 tournament. As I arrived at St George’s College on Thursday to witness the tournament, I was immediately captivated by the striking black and yellow kit worn by the Wise Owl team. The vibrant colors were a clear indicator of the school’s strong identity and commitment to excellence.

The final match between Wise Owl and Hellenic Academy was a tense affair, with Hellenic setting a challenging target of 134 runs. However, the Wise Owl batting lineup rose to the occasion, led by number 2 opening batsman Villan Changa’s sensational innings of 69 runs from just 35 balls. Simbarashe Mudzengerere also made a significant contribution with a well-crafted knock of 29 runs. Wise Owl reached the total set by Hellenic Academy by reaching 138/5.
