St John’s College Triumphs in T20 Cricket Tournament
Harare, Zimbabwe – In a thrilling final, St John’s College emerged victorious in the T20 cricket tournament, defeating South African side Kearsney by a narrow margin of 6 runs.
The match was a tense affair with both teams’ bowlers displaying impressive discipline. However, St John’s bowlers proved to be slightly more effective, restricting Kearsney to a total of 148 runs.
St John’s College had a remarkable tournament, securing victories over several strong opponents. One of their most impressive wins came against Prince Edward School’s first team, where they posted a tournament-best score of 227 runs for 5 wickets. Opening batsman Luke Wright led the charge with a blistering 70 runs off just 27 balls, including 7 sixes. John Mark Benadie provided valuable support with a well-crafted 58 runs. Dhaneel Goven’s 3-wicket haul helped St John’s defend their massive total.
